About Us

Since 1997, Winkel Tree has been delivering top-quality, fair-priced, family-run tree services to satisfied customers around the GTA and beyond. Originally established by Martin Winkel, Winkel Tree is now proudly owned and operated by his son, Mitchell Winkel. Our fully insured, Ontario qualified/certified arborists and ground-workers are passionate about tree work and strive to provide the best care for your trees.

Removals

We have over 15 years of experience delivering safe and controlled tree removals by professional arborists specializing in hands-on climbing, dynamic rigging and low impact techniques. Whether your tree is dead, diseased, damaged, has outgrown its space or you need to make some more space, we handle removals of all size. We understand local by-laws and can assist with tree removal permit applications if necessary. Our pricing is flexible and we can do as much or as little of the cleanup as you please, from full removal of all materials to bare minimum felling if you prefer to do the cleanup yourself.

Lot Clearing

Clearing overgrown and heavily treed areas of land can increase property value and usability, improve vista views, and make space for future building and development projects. We have experience carrying out lot clearing projects with both private landowners and commercial developers. Our fleet of trucks and chippers are equipped with specialized tools and machines to take on your project and get your property transformation started.
